Take your whitewater adventure to the next level with a raft or ducky rental on the scenic Nantahala River. Perfect for experienced paddlers, these self-guided rentals allow you to navigate fun Class II-III rapids and calm floating sections at your own pace. Choose from single or tandem inflatable duckies or rafts for groups of up to eight. Stop along the way to swim, surf, or soak in the breathtaking mountain scenery.

Upon arrival, check in at the NOC Adventure Deck 30 minutes before your reservation. After a brief orientation and safety video, you'll receive a properly fitted personal flotation device (PFD) and paddle before boarding a shuttle to the river’s put-in. Your journey ends right back at NOC’s main outpost, eliminating the need for a second shuttle.

Previous whitewater experience is recommended, as the river’s rapids may require maneuvering skills. Book ahead to save $5 per person, as walk-up fees apply.
