We begin our adventure at the Ropes Mansion, made world famous as Alison’s house in the cult classic movie, Hocus Pocus. Uncover the land’s pre-colonial history and learn why the puritans left Europe for the New World. Immerse yourself in the floral oasis of the Ropes Mansion’s Gardens as we start our journey into the craft of the wise. Create sacred space through the foundational protection ritual of Circle Casting, and cast your first spell.
Discover what truly happened during the Witch Trials of 1692 while visiting the historical Witch House. Enact actual test to see if you would have been condemned as a witch or saved as a pious puritan. Hear the stories of trial victims as we traverse the cobblestone roads to Charter Street’s Witch Trial Memorial. The comprehensive tour is 120 minutes long and walks about 1.5 miles.
